IAN DEARDEN

Since the early 1970s, Ian Dearden has been a passionate musical performer and enthusiastic patron of music. From his high school rock band to university folk clubs, in solo, duo and band configurations, Ian has performed and busked at clubs, pubs & festivals throughout Australia, UK, Ireland, Europe and the USA.

Ian has released two albums to date. His debut album, What Took You So Long? contains 12 original songs in superb, harmony-drenched acoustic arrangements. His 2020 release, One Day In A Life, in complete contrast, contains 10 ambient electronica instrumentals.

Ian has been reviewing records and musical performances since the mid-1970s, most recently as one of the reviewers for folk magazine, Trad & Now.

This blog is designed to pull together all of those threads in a lifetime of music.
